Privacy policy

Short version: your trade data goes from your MT5 terminal to your own Notion account. We never receive it.

What stays on your computer

The app stores its settings next to the program on your own machine: your Notion integration token, the Notion database IDs it created, the path of your MT5 terminal, a local record of each account's balance history and latest results, and your license or trial state. None of this is uploaded to us.

Your trade data

Your trades are read from your own MT5 terminal and written directly to your own Notion workspace using your own Notion token. They do not pass through our servers.

What the app sends to our server

To check your license or trial, the app contacts our activation server (hosted on Cloudflare). It sends:

• your license key (when you activate one), or a trial request
• a device identifier: a one-way hash derived from your Windows machine ID, so the raw machine ID is never sent

The server records the license key, the device hash, and activation and trial dates, which is what enforces the device limit and the 7-day trial. It never receives your trades, account numbers or Notion data.

Purchases

Purchases and trial downloads are handled by Gumroad, which processes payment and delivers your license key. Gumroad's own privacy policy governs the data you give it. Our activation server is notified of a sale so it can recognise the license key.

This website

This site is a static website hosted on Cloudflare. It uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The only thing it stores in your browser is your light or dark theme choice. Cloudflare may keep standard server request logs as part of hosting.

We do not sell your data. AI Trading Journal is not affiliated with MetaQuotes or Notion Labs.

Your choices

You can stop journaling at any time from the app and uninstall it from Windows. Uninstalling leaves your own account files in place so a reinstall can continue where you left off; you can delete that folder yourself. To ask us to delete a license or trial record held on our server, contact us through the support options on our Gumroad product page.
